FRIDAY
8pm-12:30am (thru 5/22): 70 local independent musicians perform free sets for six days at the 5th annual local correspondents festival. bar4 (park slope).

10pm: greg barris’s ‘heart of darkness‘ comedy night at union hall features dave hill, kurt braunohler, futurist and filmmaker jeremy morris-burke, more. union hall, $8 adv, $10 dos.

10pm-4am: djs spin italo disco, french house, more at the euroflash eurovision dance party, complete with eurotrash makeovers, dance-off contests and a sing-along. coco66, $5.

SATURDAY
9am-5pm
(every sat): the brooklyn flea in williamsburg launches ‘smorgasburg‘, a new food market featuring guest chefs, greenmarket farmers, cheese, dairy, meat, fish, sweets, baked goods, more

11am-3pm: fairway (red hook and harlem) holds a customer appreciation day bbq with give-aways and samples from various vendors

11am-6pm: brooklyn craft central’s shop the archway spring market brings local crafts and food to the archway under the manhattan bridge in dumbo

12-6pm: brooklyn based’s ‘total atlantic avenue immersion’ is a bar, shopping, and eating crawl all along boerum hill, brooklyn heights and cobble hill. free half pints of brooklyn brewery beer and 20% discounts at particiapting shops. more.

7:45pm: comediennes arden myrin and lisa delarios get their always fun ‘party machine‘ on at union hall. tonight: leo allen, david cope, ophira eisenberg, joe mande, roger hailes, and adira amram and the experience. union hall, $5.

8pm: the string orchestra of brooklyn perform the works of brahms, barber and adams at st. ann and the holy trinity church (bk heights). free wine reception following the performance. $10.

9pm: underground rebel bingo ain’t your grandparents’ bingo. dancing, drinking… bingo! littlefield, $5 with codes ‘skint’ or “BROKE” (all caps) online valid thru 2pm sat (reg $10-15).

SUNDAY
love the brooklyn bridge? want it on your body forever and ever? celebrate the bridge’s 128th anniversary with a $28 tattoo of it at brooklyn tattoo (99 smith st @ atlantic ave).

11am-5pm: 11 trucks are set to show for a good ol’ food truck rally at prospect park’s grand army plaza: coolhaus, rickshaw dumpling, souvlaki gr, red hook lobster pound, more. pay-as-you-go.

3 + 7pm: ellen fullman performs on her ‘long string instrument,’ made up of dozens of metallic strings stretched across a room. issue project room, $15.

4pm: littlefield is turning two! celebrate their anniversary with careless whisper karaoke plus yacht rock and am gold hits from smooth move. free food, drink specials, free admission.

ALL WEEKEND
12-6pm:
take a self-guided tour of the art galleries and studios of red hook + carroll gardens, free.
