8pm: rooftop films screens neurotypical, a film about autism from the perspective of autistics. filmmaker adam larsen q+a afterwards. williamsburg’s automotive high school lawn, $10.

8pm (thru 7/31): son of pong, a guitar-controlled video game battle, nerdlesque, more: the brick theater’s 3rd annual game play festival opens with a free preview and party. (shows reg. free-$15)

SATURDAY
2-8pm
: pools, slip ‘n slide, beach volleyball, dodgeball, bands, djs: it’s time for jelly’s rock beach @ rockaway. free (rsvp req’d).

8pm: diamondsnake spit out hard rock at the rock shop’s first anniversary party $10.

SUNDAY

: vive la france! celebrate bastille day (a little early) along smith street

3-8:30pm (+ 7/24, 8/14, 9/11): the second ‘kings county cookout‘ at east williamsburg’s lady jay’s offers $5 bbq plates (entree + 2 sides) and live tunes from eddie clendening + the blue ribbon boys

10pm: vhs lives! celebrate the format at ‘destroy all vhs‘ with trailers, home movies, screening of friday the 13th: the orphan, more. nitehawk cinema, $11

ALL WEEKEND

: feast of the giglio = 124-year-old italian festival w. carnival rides, cannoli, lifting of a 3-ton statue of st. paulinus, more. our lady of mount carmel, williamsburg.
