6–9pm:
Opening party (free food and drinks!) for Homemade Brooklyn‘s week-long pop-up shop featuring locally made products and nightly events. 522 Metropolitan, free.

10pm: Wasabassco Burlesque’s Coney Island Medicine Show opens at Coney Island USA. Starring Miss Coney Island 2010 GiGi La Femme, snake charmers, magicians, more! $15

SATURDAY
10am-5pm:
25 crafters, artists and designers hawk their sustainably-made and eco-friendly creations at the Spring Handmade Cavalcade. Berry Park (Williamsburg), free.

10am-8pm: Children’s clothing/gear re-sale boutique Still Hip hosts their 3rd annual Earth Day block party, with free bike helmets, composting demonstration, music, kids activities, more. Grand Avenue between Lafayette and Clifton.

1 pm (+5/1): Enjoy Bargemusic‘s free monthly hour-long chamber music concert on a floating barge at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge.

8pm: Swing to authentic vintage jazz bands while you wear your Gatsby-era best at Gemini & Scorpio’s Swing House 2nd Anniversary blowout. $12 with password “theskint” here, or $20 door/$10 after 12am.

SUNDAY
3-5pm:
Shepard Fairey (you know him from his Obama posters) discusses his work and signs copies of his books at the Brooklyn Museum. Free with museum admission ($10 sugg).

SATURDAY + SUNDAY
10am-5pm:
Choose from hundreds of annuals, herbs, perennials, vegetable plants, more at Grow NYC’s annual Greenmarket plant and flower sale at the Brooklyn Flea.
