Yes, it’s crappy out there. But, you know what? If you don’t go out there, the snow wins. We’re on the theme of beating the seasonal depression today, so man (or woman)-up there kids, and go have some fun. Here’s a list of some free fun things to do tonight that you should take advantage of to show that snow what’s what.

Bookcourt in Cobble Hill is holding a triple reading tonight featuring Paula Bomer, Susan Henderson and Jessica Anya Blau. If you have not been to any of Bookcourt’s readings, you should definitely go: The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, the readings are always interesting, and there is wine. 7-10 PM tonight!

The Moon is hosting it’s 50th show at Royal Oak in Williamsburg. Hosted by Bob Walles and Nat Towsen, The Moon is a variety show that features live comedy, music, cartoons, and storytelling, featuring an array of guests called “Moonkids.” This week’s topic: The Superbowl. It starts at 8. Get on it.

In Bushwick tonight, Goodbye Blue Monday is hosting its Bushwick Book Club (discussing Madame Bovary) and Open Mic night. It’s a great dark cozy place, with a laid back vibe, that serves beer, wine, coffee, tea, and espresso to name a few. Starts at 8 pm.

Honorable Mention: Les Bicyclettes Blanches are playing tonight at Public Assembly in the front room, along with Matthew O’Niell and Anything MARIA. Les Bicyclettes are a fun mix of pop and electro, and will definitely make you forget about the weather outside. There’s a cover of $8, but the 2 for 1 happy hour from 7-9pm can make up for that quickly. Show starts at 8.
