Anyone in America can go to a gym, or jog a trail or lift some milk jugs in their garage. We here in Brooklyn tend to demand something a little more… creative in our fitness routines. Like kickball… and aerial trapeze. Here’s a new one for you to try that takes boutique fitness to brag-worthy heights. Take a classic school-recess activity, add loud punk music and frenetic games and what do you get? Punk Rope! It’s a radical combo of the borough’s ingenuity and its dedication to make everything more fun than you thought it could be. Picture 34By now you’ve probably heard of Zumba, the Latin-fusion, easier-and-sweatier-than-a-rhumba fitness style of dance that’s supposed to be this decade’s Tai Bo. It’s said to burn 600-1000 calories per class, which means you can a) lose weight, or b) eat this, and not gain weight, which I think might be a stronger argument.
