It’s not exactly ready for the America’s Cup, but it might make a nice foreclosure backup plan. There on Craiglist’s free stuff in Brooklyn page—alongside the free issues of Mathematical Intelligencer magazine (Park Slope), 7 old electric irons (Bay Ridge) and 40 cinder blocks (Ditmas Park)—is a 1974 Silverton boat on offer in Marine Park. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in these photos—seems intentional—but the vessel has a sound hull, a standup shower and toilet and a flybridge. Not so promising: “all decks are soft and need to be replaced.” Showings are today and tomorrow. Here’s the listing.
